Travel Guide Europe France Nord-Pas-de-Calais
Introduction
Nord-Pas-de-Calais is one of the 22 administrative regions in France and is located in the upper north of the country, bordering Belgium.
Weather
Nord-Pas-de-Calais has a mild maritime climate with mildly warm summers and relatively mild winters. Temperatures are mostly around the 20-25 °C range in summer (June to August), though winters can be cold sometimes, especially more inland. Though temperatures are mostly around or slightly above zero during the coldest months of December to February and along the coast it rarely freezes or snows. It is cooler in summer though along the coast so don't expect beachtime weather like in southern France.
