Myanmar Farmer by beyondthe
A farmer from Bago in Myanmar proudly poses for me outside his home next to his buffalo cart. He was awaiting the annual rains to begin so he could plough the ground with his buffalo and plant his rice seeds.
Sacred Roots by beckstead
A maze of roots from a large trees in Ubud's Sacred Elephant Cave. The colors on and around the this tree really exemplified the magical feeling of this sanctuary.
The Window Seat by the_goat
It is the first day of Eid al-Adha in Kabul, Afghanistan and traffic congested as families make their way home to slaughter their goat, sheep or even cow to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael (Isma'il) as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a sheep— to sacrifice instead. This little girl stares from her window seat at me with suspicion, shortly before her mother pulls back her headscarf and gives a reassuring, kind smile of respect.

Transparent Poverty by the_goat
A young boy cleans the windows of my car while we wait in Kabul traffic. He should be in school, but makes a living on the streets, with a rag and rarely any water to support his entrepreneurship.

Rusted car hood of the self-immolating monk by SFLboogie
The monks of the Thien Mu Pagoda in Hue, Vietnam have displayed the car that Thích Quảng Đức drove to the spot of his self-immolation. Thích Quảng Đức's ultimate protest action in Saigon in 1963 brought international attention to the repressive persecution of Buddhists by the regime then ruling South Vietnam.

Decrepit Travel Lodge by SFLboogie
If you look over the chaos in front of New Delhi's train station, across the street is the most decrepit Travel Lodge in the world. The sheets may not be clean, the windows may be little more than squared off holes in the walls, but the location can't be beat!
