Face to face with belugas by Tabithag
Snorkelling with the beluga whales was a real highlight of our trip to Churchill, Manitoba. Seeing them swim directly beneath you, and hearing the sounds they make was truly amazing.

Dinnertime by Tabithag
We were thrilled to be able to watch this intimate and moment while a grizzly bear mum nursed her six month (ish) old cub at Knight Inlet, BC Canada. But whilst it was lovely to see, it was far more fascinating to hear it, as the cub makes a strange vibrating noise while suckling, which is apparently a sign of contentedness.

A bold move ... by Tabithag
Grizzly bears like their personal space, so when we were watching them in Knight's Inlet a couple of weeks ago, we were surprised to see this mum make the rather bold move of walking her two six month old cubs directly past another mum with her pair of year old cubs. I like this photo because, while not the best technically, it isn't often that you get the chance to have six grizzlies in one shot.
