Entry to Stow Lodge Hotel-Restaurant by Beausoleil
Our search for lunch ended when we found the Stow Lodge Restaurant just off the Market Square. It had a pleasing menu and looked positively elegant. The hotel has been in the same family for fifty years and has been lovingly cared for. There is ample room to eat outside although we decided to eat inside. The service and food were wonderful.

The Fountain by Beausoleil
The water fountain at The Triangle, was installed in 1896. It is gothic in style with four sides and a masonry pyramidal roof and poppyhead. It has two horse troughs, two drinking fountains and a dog bowl and replaced a horse pond at the junction of High Street and the Fosse Way.

Walking down Digbeth Street by Beausoleil
We left Market Square to walk down Digbeth Street looking for lunch passing one lovely building after another. This was just past the Porch House.

The Cotswold Cheese Company by Beausoleil
We left Market Square and walked down Digbeth Street and passed the Cotswold Cheese Company. Since we were headed for lunch, we didn't stop, probably a mistake on our part.

The Market Square with the Market Cross by Beausoleil
As you enter Stow-on-the-Wold, you come to the Market Square with a view of St. Edward's Hall, the Market Cross and behind some buildings opposite, the parish church of St. Edward's. The Market Square covers most of the center of Stow and there is some parking although we parked up the hill beside Tesco since it was marked for tourist parking. The other end of the Market Square has a small park with the town stocks on display. They didn't look as though they had been used for a very long time.
