Part of an oak bell frame dated 1636 at St. James Church - Avebury by Beausoleil
The world's largest stone circle surrounds a small village. Within the village are St. James Church, Avebury Manor and the Alexander Keiller Museum that is arranged in two parts, the Stables Gallery that displays archaeological treasures from this World Heritage Site and the Barn Gallery that is a 17th-century threshing barn that houses interactive displays.

Eight Bells Inn (count them) by Beausoleil
The Eight Bells Inn was originally built in the 14th century to house the stonemasons who built St. James' church. It was later used to store the peel of eight bells that were hung in the church tower hence its name. It is a very warm and friendly inn with excellent food and within easy walk of nearly all sights in Chipping Campden.

The Basilique des Saints Nazaire et Celse was formerly a medieval Cathedral. It is no longer the seat of a Bishop and is now a basilica. The stained glass windows and religious art, ancient and contemporary, inside are worthy of a visit especially the works of Thierry Lodziak, a local artist.
