Dinner setting at the Ionic Temple at Rievaulx Terrace by Beausoleil
Rievaulx Terrace, located in the North York Moors National Park, overlooks Rievaulx Abbey and is owned by the National Trust. The half-mile long grass terrace follows a serpentine course along a wooded escarpment designed to give multiple views of the ruins of Rievaulx Abbey. There are two mid 18th century temples including the Ionic Temple, intended as a banqueting house, with elaborate ceiling paintings and fine 18th century furniture and the Tuscan Temple at the far end. The Ionic Temple, probably designed by Sir Thomas Robinson was fashioned after the Maison Carrée at Nimes, France and possibly the Temple of Fortuna Virilis in Rome. It is named for its Ionic columns. The basement was formerly the kitchen for the dining room above. More recently it is a small museum included on the Temple tour.

Avebury Manor - Kitchen by Beausoleil
The world's largest stone circle surrounds a small village. Within the village are the church, Avebury Manor and the Alexander Keiller Museum that is arranged in two parts, the Stables Gallery that displays archaeological treasures from this World Heritage Site and the Barn Gallery that is a 17th-century threshing barn that houses interactive displays.
