Despite the voluminous presence of day tripper tourists, the fishermen and carpenters are tolerant of the daily influx, recognising the essential income generated by tourists, but for some unknown reason tourists are nervous and do not sit comfortably outwith their comfort zone!

The long-established Sunday Souk at the north end of Avenue al Aqaba, this one specialises in clothing and household items. if there is sufficient demand the Souk will also be operational on Saturday.

A bundle of clothing indicates the presence of a rough sleeper but the 'bundle' may not be as destitute as it would appear, some discarded confectionery wrappers in close proximity to the bundle might indicate some sustenance had been obtained!

Sometimes Atm's at the popular tourist locations run out of money, especially at weekends and are not replenished until Mondays, so there are four machines and one Exchange Bureau beside the blue Afriqia fuel station on Avenue al Aqaba.
