Olympic figures and advertisements on the Assemblée Nationale in Paris by Beausoleil
We were taking the bus from our apartment to the Marmottan Museum and passed the Assemblée Nationale that had figures depicting Olympic events in colors matching the Olympic Rings. They are getting very excited about the upcoming Olympics.

Basilique Sainte-Thérèse de Lisieux - A visiting group from Brittany with their flag by Beausoleil
Saint Thérèse of Lisieux was canonized in 1925 and the Basilique was started in 1929 and while blessed in 1937 and in use was not completed and consecrated until 1954 so it is a recent building as famous French churches go. We happened into a special Mass for a festival of some sort that continued into October. The Mass was attended by close to 4000 people, the capacity of the basilica. There was a procession carrying a reliquary at the beginning of the Mass and at the end rose petals fell from the dome during the procession. It was an amazing experience and one we were not expecting.
Saint-Malo . . . Tour Quic-en-Groigne by Beausoleil
We were visiting Brittany for a week and wanted to revisit Saint-Malo so on a sunny morning we drove northeast to the city. We parked near the ferry port, entered through Porte Dinan and found a nice restaurant for lunch before walking through the Old Town section. It couldn't have been a more perfect Fall day. We followed this by a ride on the Petit Train and the trip ended at Porte Saint-Vincent where we walked back through town to Porte de Dinan and retrieved our car.
Saint-Malo . . . La Belle Epoque Restaurant by Beausoleil
We were visiting Brittany for a week and wanted to revisit Saint-Malo so on a sunny morning we drove northeast to the city. We parked near the ferry port, entered through Porte Dinan and found a nice restaurant for lunch before walking through the Old Town section. It couldn't have been a more perfect Fall day. Loved the big bear having coffee. We've seen them in Paris. They seem to be vacationing now.
