St. John the Baptist Church in Broadclyst by Beausoleil
Broadclyst is largely owned by the National Trust as part of Killerton House and is beautifully kept. You walk through St. John's churchyard to get to Clyston Mill which despite a sign to the contrary was closed.

The Red Lion Inn in Broadclyst, Devon by Beausoleil
You pass this lovely Inn walking from parking to the churchyard that you go through to get to Clyston Mill in Broadclyst. The wysteria was magnificant and directly behind me to the left was an equally magnificent chestnut tree in full bloom.

Wildflowers in the Killerton House Gardens by Beausoleil
We were at the Killerton House Gardens in May and the height of Rhododendron bloom. They were all over the park and stunning. However, the wildflowers were also in full bloom and fun to find in the more casual areas of the park.

Killerton Chapel by Beausoleil
Architect C.R.Cockrell, renowned for his classical style, was commissioned to build the chapel at Killerton. He reluctantly agreed to copy the Norman chapel of St Joseph of Arimathea at Glastonbury; however, he and Sir Acland differed often about the design and the construction. Inside it is very unusual in that the seats are on either side facing each other instead of facing the altar. There is some beautiful stained glass, especially the Rose Window that is a copy of a 12th century Rose Window at Barfreston.
