Hotel-Restaurant Le Cygne in Le Bugue by Beausoleil

A very kind lady from the local church walked us to this restaurant to be sure we wouldn't get lost on our way to lunch. We were very impressed by the people of Le Bugue as they all seemed very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent but it's a Logis-de-France and they nearly all have very good restaurants.

Logis de France Hotel-Restaurant Euzkadi Ostatua by Beausoleil

We passed this hotel and loved their menu so returned to make a lunch reservation and then for lunch. It was raining and very chilly so we returned early and waited by their wonderful lobby fireplace until the restaurant opened. Lunch was delicious.

Logis de France Euzkadi Ostatua in Espelette by Beausoleil

Beautiful traditional Basque hotel in central Espelette with a great restaurant. We eventually came back for lunch. They had a lovely fireplace in the lobby on a cold, rainy day.

Hotel Grillon in Beaune by Beausoleil

Our go-to hotel in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy. We have used this hotel since it was owned by the parents of the current owners. It is friendly, charming and near enough to the center of town to walk and they have plenty of parking. Breakfast in the conservatory is lovely.

Logis Auberge Bienvenue Restaurant in Doué-la-Fontaine by Beausoleil

Moving from one gite to another, we have to leave mid-morning and can't arrive until late afternoon so we always plan a nice lunch part way there and then sightseeing excursion near the next gite. This was our lunch stop.

Chateau de Roques in Puisseguin near Bordeaux by Beausoleil

This small and friendly château is in the Bordeaux wine region and we had easy drives to Bordeaux and St. Emilion. They have a very nice restaurant with a very friendly yellow cat. It has since been named Chateau Fleur de Roques. It is a Logis de France.
