House we passed on our way to Maffliers by Beausoleil
We like to stay at the Novotel in Maffliers when we're getting ready to leave France. It's well situated to tour the area north of Paris and convenient to CDG so it's not hard to get to the airport.

Domaine de Gretot - our gite by Beausoleil
The Domaine de Gretot was the Château where we were staying. We rented the ground floor wing on the right facing the Château. It was two bedrooms, living and dining rooms, kitchen and bath. The owner inherited it from her grandfather and was in the process of refurbishing it. Our section and one of the outbuildings were complete and absolutely lovely. The rest was a work in progress but should be spectacular when they finish. It was centrally located in that part of Normandy and great for sightseeing in the area. There were small towns nearby where we found groceriesm bakeries and fuel for our car. Good base for seeing the French Vexins Regional Park and the coastal villages around Étretat.
