Garden of the Cluny Museum - Playground area by Beausoleil

We love to visit the garden of the Cluny Museum (Musée du Moyen Age) in Paris. There is a fun playground for children and there is a separate Medieval Garden with plants and sculpture. Both are wonderful for lunch picnics in Paris. On our last trip the Medieval section was closed for renovations. We also discovered the Cluny is only partially open due to renovations. There is a reduced price but there is also greatly reduced viewing. We were told at the museum they are planning to reopen the complete museum some time in 2021.

Medieval Gardens of the Cluny Museum by Beausoleil

The Cluny Museum (Musée du Moyen Age) has a wonderful and free medieval garden with peaceful adult sections and lively children's areas. It is an oasis in the busy Latin Quarter.

Play Area at the Cluny Museum Medieval Gardens by Beausoleil

All over Paris you will find children's play areas. It's a great place to travel with children because you can always stop and let them play while you relax a little. Here at the Cluny Museum, there are street vendors across the street for snacks or cafes if you want something more substantial. It's perfectly okay to picnic in this lovely park.
