Sundial at Avebury Manor by Beausoleil
The world's largest stone circle surrounds a small village. Within the village are the church, Avebury Manor and the Alexander Keiller Museum that is arranged in two parts, the Stables Gallery that displays archaeological treasures from this World Heritage Site and the Barn Gallery that is a 17th-century threshing barn that houses interactive displays. When you exit the house, you enter the gardens. They vary according to time of year as gardens must and we were there in May when there was not yet much in bloom. It was still very pretty and obvious that later visitors would have quite a treat.

Saint-Hilaire - a sun dial by Beausoleil
After lunch while waiting for the Abbey to reopen so we could continue our exploration, we walked around the town a little and found some very fun things like the little sun dial, lots of flowers and cobblestone homes with flowers.
