A Buddha or two .... by Tabithag
Myanmar was a wonderful country to visit, and one of my favourite places was this, the Kawgun Caves near Hpa An. All of those little red bits that run across the cave walls are tiny little Buddha images. I have no idea how many thousands there are, but I thought it was stunning.

Mushroom Temple by Tabithag
This temple -Kyauk Galap - was one of my favourites. There isn't much to see inside, but the look of it outside is amazing. And the people here were so friendly.

Reflected Glory by Tabithag
The Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is certainly an impressive sight, especially when lit up at night. This scene, with people sat illuminated by the glow, seemed fitting, as many people regard themselves to be a better person because of their religion, being in its reflected glory.

Barefoot Buddhists by Tabithag
I liked this because it represents all of the people having removed their shoes and walking barefoot around the Buddhist temples in Bagan.

A Balloon over Bagan by Tabithag
In Bagan, we treated ourselves to a hot air balloon flight over the many temples. It was a fabulous trip, with stunning sunrise views.

Getting that unique photo ......? by Tabithag
I always feel a little uncomfortable taking close up photos of people; I tend not to take them much, but if I do I always ask. Sadly, I've noticed many fellow travellers who seem to think that they can do whatever they like to get the photo they want, sometimes quite intrusively or a way that treats their subject like a exhibit, rather than a fellow person. This young monk in Mandalay was obviously happy to pose for the cameras - and he had no shortage of takers for that 'unique' monk shot.

Fisherman at the U Bein Bridge by Tabithag
I love reflections anyway, so our visit to the U Bein Bridge was perfect for me. I especially liked this image because, although the reflection has been a little distorted by the movement of our oar the fisherman - and his great top - is still reflected.

Sunset at the U Bein Bridge by Tabithag
The old teak U Bein Bridge near Mandalay is a favourite sunset spot for visitors. Can't think why!

Teak Legs by Tabithag
The old teak of the U Bein Bridge in Myanmar is an impressive sight, if a little creaky when walking over it. I loved the reflections on the water, so as we passed under in the boat, I got a shot along it.

The Moustache Brothers by Tabithag
We popped along to see The remaining two of The Moustache Brothers while we were in Mandalay. The show isn't exactly world class, but it is intriguing to see two people who caused so much upset to the military regime here, and think about what they went through for the sake of a few jokes.
