A caleche clatters past the famous old Hotel Grand Tazi, Avenue el Mouahidine, an inexpensive hotel on the edge of the Medina and only a five minute walk to the main Medina square, Djemma el Fna, bar and restaurant on street level are open to the public, and swimming pool on the roof for cooling off in the intense summer heat, my regular budget accommodation anytime I'm passing through.
