A common spring time occurrence in Pouch Cove is to wake up and see that the sea ice has been blown into the cove. Sometimes the ice lasts for days, other time it is gone by the next day.

Yes. For this photo, I literally looked out the window, saw the way the way the light was reflecting off the spring ice, grabbed my camera and raced down the hill to take some photos before the light changed.
