Fox Talbot Photography Museum at Lacock Abbey by Beausoleil Star this if you like it!

The historic Fenton Collection - has been transferred from the British Film Institute to the Fox Talbot Museum at Lacock, Britain's birthplace of photography. The collection contains hundreds of cameras, optical devices and toys from the eighteenth century to the late 1980s as well as nearly 3,500 photographic images ranging from the earliest processes through to the first part of the twentieth century. My favorite was a photo of Louis Daguerre who invented the Daguerreotype. I have a wonderful old Daguerreotype of a couple of my ancestors and treasure it. Unfortunately, no one in the family can now identify the man and his wife. My great-grandparents and grandparents all loved sending the photo postcards that were so popular many years ago and I have a lot of those with messages on the other side. This was their idea of Facebook, I think.
