These scooters were all over Paris and were a hazard in streets and on sidewalks. People just leave them anyplace and they can be hard to see on a crowded street. The week we left, the authorities made a pronouncement that the scooters could not be parked on the pavement. I'm not sure where they would be parked since everyplace is paved, but we left and didn't have to worry about it.
