There are many steps up to Sacre Cœur and they are always crowded because there are fabulous views of Paris from all of them. There are a few viewing platforms, a couple telescopes and lots of steps for your photo pleasure, This shows Paris skyscrapers in the distance with the Pompidou Center about midway. It's easy to spot the rather odd inside-out Pompidou Center and it gives you your bearings for seeing other landmarks of Paris.
