Cadouin Abbey was a Cistercian monastery founded as a hermitage in 1115 by Gerald of Salles, in the name of Robert of Arbrissel, in what is now the commune of Le Buisson-de-Cadouin in the Dordogne between Sarlat and Bergerac. Cadouin is on the pilgrim trail to Santiago de Compostela, listed as a Historic Monument, a Major Site of Aquitaine and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the outbuildings is now a youth hostel.
