Abbaye de Saint-Hilaire - Carvings on the altar are by the Master of Cabestany by Beausoleil Star this if you like it!
The Master of Cabestany is an anonymous master sculptor of the second half of the 12th century. His sculptures all have a very particular style. They have triangular faces, low foreheads, flattened chins, high hollow ears, stretched almond-shaped eyes with a burr hole on either side, hands with long, slender fingers, lots of pleats in the drapes, and a great number of details around the main characters. His work can be found in the eastern Pyrenées, Le Boulou, Monastir del Camp, Sant Pere de Rodes and Girona among other places.
