Back into town for lunch - the little bridge is a nice shortcut by Beausoleil Star this if you like it!

Pernes-les-Fontaines is famous for having 41 fountains. There are supposedly more than 60 but many are private. The tourist office has a Fountain Map for free that gives you a walk through town to find fountains. These are just the ones in the Old Town area and it gives you historic monuments along the way. It's a lovely walk in a very interesting and friendly town. As it turned out, the water wasn't turned on the day we were there, probably due to the current drought, so the fountains were all dry. I'm sure they would be beautiful with water, but they were all interesting nevertheless. We did half the route in the morning, had a wonderful lunch and then followed the rest of the trail in the afternoon. It's a fun way to spend a day.
