A primary school teacher, I made the life-changing decision to leave everything behind to travel in 2013.

To make things more interesting, I decided to travel for six months but following other people's advice and suggestions. Having spent the last two months travelling across the USA, I am now preparing to spend some time in New Zealand, Australia and Bali before returning to the UK.

I didn't really have a clue how this trip would turn out or how willing people would be to make recommendations but it's been amazing! I have had suggestions from people all over the world via e-mail and Facebook and many face-to-face recommendations from people I have met along the way.

I haven't been able to do them all, but I've done everything I could and I've had some amazing experiences! Would definitely recommend this type of travel!
