Where to begin. I joined Travellerspoint in 2012 and started a few blogs for trips I was doing. One of the reasons I didn't do much was that I had my own travel "blog"website on a free web provider.

On that site I could use a free version of Microsoft Frontpage to create a website that whilst not looking too "on the edge" looked okay with photo galleries. Uploads were with an FTP program. When that provider decided that they no longer could be bothered and gave notice, I found another free provider. I was able to use FTP to download the contents of the site from the first and upload to the second. A few years passed and it happened again.

Recently I have been transferring the pages and travel blogs from html to text and putting them on Travellerspoint!

I am hoping that this site doesn't go the way of Travelpod and Virtualtourist - two other sites that accounted for many wasted hours of writing that was "lost".

My blogs are shared publicly. I don't expect a massive audience as they are mostly for me and Claire as memories and our family to see where we are and what we are doing.
