I have been here three times and have relative there: o On the Rue di Vin ( Wine Road) 70 miles of fortified villages 5 miles apart with each having over 5 "Caves" tasting rooms.) o Many Casells medeval o 1 1/2 hours form Black Forest Germany o 1 1/2 hours to Roman Baths of Baden Baden o 2 hours to Bazel Switzerland Best combination of German and French Wine and Cusine... anywhere !! Thailand

Spent three weeks with friends in the State Dept. Bangkok, Rachamburi, Old City, Chaing Mai, Clong (canal tours), canal taxis and long tail boats. Ko Sumui Island. Sukamvit Road... really cheap tailors. silk and others. fighters, more markets. Thompson Silk. One day -- Buttefly farm, Orchid Farm, Elephant show/Ride, Silk factory, Gem factory, Temple tour, 6 part cultural show and feast $ 8.00 Great people ( Buddists), good food, inexpensive food - $ 1.25 for shrimp or pork, or chicken along with rice and stir fried vegitables. Fired insects 25 cents. not for me.

Cairns

Dived of the Great Barrier Reef... can help with which type of tour to take and why. Went North to Thomas and Daintree National Rainforest crocks. food. Went West to the REAL Outback... kangoroo road kill. 10 foot termite mounds, unattended museums, rail roads, storms, floods. Variety of Fruits and Veg ... good food, music and dance.

New Zealand

Traveled on my own by care and day by day accomadations. and hit many of the main points on a self tour based on NZ tourist bureau: North Island -- Auckland, Rotorua, Napier, Wellington, South Island -- Wyakia, Christchurch, Dunedin, Taahna, Melford Sound, Queenstown, Glenarch, Fox and Hans Glaciers. Blue and the Pass back to Christchurch. Met really fine people.
