We are a Kiwi couple who have sold our house and small business to travel the world.
Asia was first on the list with a four-month trip through Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.

We had learned from our previous travel experience that we enjoyed travel more when we took our time and stayed in places longer – so where possible, we would stay three or more days in each location to at least get a feel for a place – some places we stayed up to a week.

After the UAE, we flew to Europe to start our European House sitting period, from June 2016 to January 2017. We had multiple housesits in France, UK and Spain. We explored different areas and had some marvellous trips in between these house sits. We wrote a ton of blogs.

Our plans had to be altered as in July 2016, our middle son Daniel announced his engagement to Jessica, and they were to be married in Feb 2017. We planned a trip back to New Zealand for six weeks.

As our South of France housesit ended in early January we flew to Florida, took a cruise and did a road trip around the state. Staying with our friend in Tampa. All up, we would spend a month in Florida before flying home.

Catching up with friends and family, the most beautiful wedding was awesome. But we had a housesit booked for London for the month of April. So off we went again.

On the way back, we decided to stop off in Sri Lanka and Kerala, India, spending eight days in each place.

Since returning to Europe, we have added housesitting in Germany and Italy. Plus lots of time in France.
