• 2018 Asia trip - Kuala Lumpur
• Alan's European Trip 2014 - I am returning to England after leaving Cltheroe, Lancashire with my family in 1963 at the age of 14. A lot of water has passed under that bridge, in fact many bridges have been swept away and rebuilt in the years since I left. I am not going back to try and recreate my past, but to try and create a whole new raft of memories to take with me into the old folks home. Living most of my life in Australia and New Zealand, I have grown tired of beautiful natural scenery. What I want to experience is to be overwhelmed by all of the wonders that the imagination of man (sic) has created over the centuries in the form of architecture, art, music and sculpture. This will hopefully be the first of several trips over the next few years, and I intend to spend a month here and a month there with the help of airb&b host accommodation. This year I will spend a month in Valencia, a month in Paris and a month in Manchester. A couple of weeks in Tokyo, London, Madrid, Barcelona, and a few unknown locations will round out the trip. Hell I am a not very fit 65, and hope that I am up to the challenge. Europe here I come....
• A few days in Melbourne - The day I got back into Auckland from my 5 months European trip my daughter Sandi pointed out a really cheap airfare to Australia. On impulse I booked a two week stay in Melbourne at the end of November. Over time I arranged on Airbnb to spend 10 nights sharing a lovely apartment in a suburb of Melbourne called Kew, and also arranged to visit my brother Peter's widow Sue who had moved back to spend time at her childhood home of Cobram which is 260 km inland from Melbourne. My idea was that I needed a small trip or two to keep in practice for next years 3 month European jaunt. As it is I have already booked a ridiculously cheap return airfare to Amsterdam starting next May,

• There´s a Few More Places To Tick Off The List ... - Maybe my last trip to Europe. There are still plenty of places I want to see there, but I am running out of places I need to see there. Next year maybe America, or maybe Asia...
