People always ask me why I am so in love with traveling and I always explain that I love travel for the people, the food, and the culture. These are the biggest highlights and memories from every trip of mine.
You can go on the most incredible trip around the world, but if you're with a dreadful group of people, you'll hardly have a good time. The people accompanying you on your trip have a huge impact on your experiences, as well as the people you meet along the way. The ones you meet along the way are always awesome relationships, because they often become your new foreign friends. As I've traveled, I have constantly expanded my network of friends from many different countries.
The food, well of course the food is always a fun part of traveling. Everywhere you go will have a unique cuisine, and even may have restaurants themed on the country you live in (never quite the same though haha). Whether its fine dining, or grabbing a bite while roaming in a market, you will always find something super interesting and hopefully delicious too!
Finally, I travel for the culture. This is what initially drove me to my wanderlust, and what keeps me going. If I experience a culture shock on a trip, I would define that as a successful trip. It is the most amazing thing to really experience a new culture first hand by actually living it! It really gives you a perspective on your own life and just how small you are in such a great world. To immerse yourself in a new culture is the ultimate learning experience.
As my wanderlust grows, I have been doing everything in my power to travel as much as I possibly can. I hope you enjoy my little blog, and can be inspired by my passion to be a world traveler too!
