  Travel (as in learning new culture, not gorging myself on a cruise ship). Backpacking. Avid SCUBA. Computer modeling & simulation (it's actually an art). Always reading, sometimes writing.

• Favourite places:

  Anywhere outdoors when the weaather's agreeable and the landscape(or seascape) magnificent. A multitude of places come to mind. Some of the most memorable...sunset in the San Juan Islands in Northwest USA, Torres del Paine in Patagonia, Milford Sound in New Zealand, the Sonoran Desert in Arizona.
