About @samsara_

45 years old • Female

I've been a member of TP since Jan 2005 and find that I just keep coming back :) Addicted to solo travel, and my life has made the most sense to me when I have been on the road meeting new people, getting to know the world and myself in the process. Travelling is my biggest passion by far...well....also wine....travel and wine :D

  • Hobbies:

    Wine, wine, & more wine
    Books
    Film
    Hiking
    Photography
Music - I am a piano teacher with the Central Academy of London, and an amateur bodhran player

  • Favourite places:

    Northern Ethiopia

    Dharamkot, Indian Himalaya

    Canadian Rockies and National Parks

    Patagonia (beautiful lonely wilderness)

Bolivia (an eye-opener. very challenging and very rewarding)

Easter Island (a weird and wonderful place!)

Connemara & The Aran Islands, The Burren, Co. Kerry and West Cork (Ireland still has it all as far as I'm concerned!)

Rio de Janeiro (easily, the most spectacular city in my world so far)

    Buenos Aires (non-stop party)

Italy (I just keep going back)

Italy

I've done a lot of travelling around North and Central Italy. I've also been down the Amalfi Coast to Pompeii and Naples. I've used Italy as a base to travel into Switzerland, France and Slovenia. I'm also currently learning Italian in case anyone needs some basics...(I'm not v good though!)
